1. 1911: Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

2. 1929: The Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million kulaks, peasants, and dissidents who were unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

3. 1935: Maoist China (Anita Dunn’s favorite guy) established gun control. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million people (est), unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

4. 1938: Nazi Gerrmany established gun control and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others, weaponless, were rounded up and exterminated.

5. 1956: Cambodia established gun control. Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge, from 1975 to 1977, round up and murder OVER one million educated people, who could not be “reeducated”, were rounded up and exterminated. (This also can be linked to the DEMOCRATS in Congress betraying SVN and allowing them to fall to the commies and releasing the commies in Cambodia to go nuts.)

6. 1964: Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, without firearms, were rounded up and exterminated.

7. 1970: Uganda established gun control in 1970. In EIGHT YEARS, 300,000 Christians, oddly enough without firearms to defend themselves with, were rounded up and exterminated.

8. 1973: Friend of Obama and ghostwriter for Obama’s TWO autobiographies, William Ayers, domestic terrorist, murderer, and unrepentant terrorist, writes “Prairie Fire” wherein he states that upwards of 25 MILLION Americans will need to be “liquidated” because they won’t be able to be “reeducated.”

9. 1993. Life under an Imperial Federal Government run by Democrats, without firearms at our side, was previewed at Waco and with Elian Gonzalez in 2000.

1. Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent. 2. Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent. 3. Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent. 4. Home invasions are up 300%. 5. In the state of Victoria, homicides with firearms are up 300 percent.

Spot on! There is also an excellent article on this topic on the Daily Bell titled Why the Chinese Demand US Gun Control.

Anonymous needs to learn our history, that is prior to the Liberal version of Canada. Although since he chooses to ignore world history and the facts laid out in this article, it is probably a waste of time.

Well Ted the Americans have a little thing like their constitution and bill of rights. Fortunately for them their founding fathers foresaw the danger of a police state, which begins with gun registration. And no it is not in the least a sick view, but then when one refuses to look at the real issues and prefers to place blame on the object one arrives at views such as your own.

Ted, what planet are you on if you think that "Canada has under 100 gun deaths every year"? Canada has around 1100 gun-related deaths every year, the vast majority of which are suicides, but where things REALLY get interesting is when you compare like population to like population, from Canada to the US. Because so much of the US's violent crime is confined to such a small percentage of their population, it only APPEARS that there's some sort of relation between gun ownership and murder. In fact, almost HALF of all US murders are young black males killing young black males, usually over drug-related quarrels. That young black male cohort makes up less than TWO PERCENT of the US population as a whole, and besides being ILLEGAL for them to buy a handgun to begin with (you have to be 18 to buy a rifle, 21 to buy a handgun in the US), they wouldn't own half of all guns in the US even if someone was standing on a street corner handing them out for free. So, if you eliminate that factor, the US is nowhere near as bad as you've been told to believe. Otherwise, you're just falling prey to the "Fuck those Germans!!!" gambit.

Check this reference. It has actual facts.

Where did I "blame blacks for society problems", wingnut? Are the FBI and DOJ statistics somehow "racist"? I was stating simple FACTS, and another FACT you might be interested in is that Vermont (one of the US states with the LEAST restrictive gun laws) also has a lower murder rate than Canada does. Anyone with a clean criminal record over the age of 21 can carry a gun without any sort of licence required in Vermont, so that shows your "guns r bad" tripe up for the nonsense it is.

It's worth noting that in the United States, statistics show that the States with the most gun control :laws" are also the States with the most murders by guns.... Oblahblahs Chicago being one. Perhaps it's the propensity of ideologically driven leftists that want the "Government" controlling everything, thus their objection to the 2nd amendment, an amendment that gives the liberty of the individual over the tyrannical nature of big Government to take that liberty away.

Once again it take an absolute horrible incident to hopefully wake up this society about the issue of gun control. Guns should be banned……from all criminals and the mentally ill, period no exceptions. Alternatively, every law abiding citizen should be allowed to carry a concealed weapon. Just think for a second; if one of the teachers or adult staff at that school was carrying a legally concealed weapon, this piece of criminal crap would have not had a chance as an armed teacher could have returned fire in self-defence and the lives if the children would have been saved. Just think about those horrible mass shootings in movie theatres and food courts and if say 5 people out of the crowd of law abiding citizens carried guns…..well as soon as the bad guy even pulled out the gun, yet alone start shooting, five law abiding citizens could take aim, fire and killed the bad guy in self-defence. There wouldn’t be any crime whatsoever. The criminals would be sacred shi*less. An Armed society is a polite society plain and simple.

First off let me say that, having been down this road about a kabillion times, I accept completely that it's absolutely pointless to get into this matter with lefties; nothing anyone says will change anything, mostly 'cause the last thing they're interested in is facts and logic.

a) Nobody has discredited Prof. Lott. God knows they've tried, but they keep coming up with the same results he does.

b) The differences between Canada and the US are "cultural". No, we're not superior up here because we have more gun control laws, or because we're...tragically...more leftwing. In fact, there are enough gun control laws on the books of states and cities in the US to choke Moby Dick.

c) Americans, led by leftwing Democrats, are about to go through the exercise of bringing in some sort of new gun control laws because it will make everyone...meaning mostly leftwing Democrats, or "liberals"...feel better about themselves. None of this will accomplish one damn thing in the real world.

d) Gun bans in Britain have been a complete failure, as have they also been in Australia, where confiscation, facilitated by their gun registries, of handguns in Britain, and pump/semi-auto duck hunting guns down under, achieved nothing more than disarming law abiding and honest citizens...except that it made liberals feel good about themselves.

e) The last thing Liberals want to admit is, given this anything/everything goes society they've created, more and more crap like this is going to happen, the biggest reason being IMHO because morality and/or personal responsibility doesn't mean a GD thing any more.

Did you actually delete all of my comments? Wow. Feeling the desperation.

Yes Ted I removed your comments because they were grossly inaccurate. If you are going to use numbers to attack others you need to provide citations.
